Dear Prayer Partners and Supporters:
The harvest is great and the labors are few, pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send forth labors into the harvest fields. Brother Smith for Global Ministries was with us for the opening of the new semester. He preached in several of our churches and 17 were saved. We have seen several more saved since he has returned to the states.
Pastor Navi Bola is in the states so this leaves more work on our shoulders, watching over the Christian School, Pastoring the Church and administering over the college and teaching extra classes. Pray for us as we are finding many new challenges!
Pray for the busy days ahead, planning for graduation, mission conferences, youth meeting and a wedding.
At this time we have 8 of our students and 2 of our Church Members are on the road serving in several different Baptist Churches on the Island. God is blessing through the College Students ministries, what a help to the churches, but what a blessing to the students as they are able to apply what they are learning in the classroom.
We greatly appreciate the Pastors who are giving freely of their time to teach at South Pacific Baptist College. May we never forget their sacrifice to teach one day a week here in Ba. Pray for them, I know that their travel is not with out sacrifice and personal cost as they teach for free. Pastors here make very little for salary from their Baptist Churches, and I know their personal struggles in giving what they do not have to help us in the work of training new laborers and future pastors and wives for the work.
If the Lord delays His coming, there will be a bright hope for our future through graduating students who are trained for the work. The Lord has moved some of our professors out into the field. We are hearing great reports of salvation, growth, baptisms and exciting things because of this. One of our associate pastors has started a Bible study in a town close by, we hope to see a new Church from this. Pray for Nathan and this work. Pray for some of our Missionaries who have had to leave the field because of health, this is a great lost to us. But we are praying for them.
Pray for us, we are awaiting surgery to repair a rupture, we elected to do it here even though the hospitals are not the greatest, it will mean less down time from the work. Pray that all things will go well.
