Earnharts - Peru

Dear Prayer Partners,

First, I want to thank God, publicly for His faithfulness
and love toward us.  We are so blessed to have a heavenly
Father that blesses us far beyond what we deserve.  I also
want to thank each of you for your faithful prayers and
support of our ministry and family.

We have invested seven years of ministry in the Iglesia
Bautista Calvario.  For many years we have prayed for
permanent, national leadership for Calvario.  What a joy
it was to watch the church almost unanimously call Pastor
Christian Gutierrez and family to take over the pastorate.
This is a family that has many years of experience not
only in Peru but also in Uruguay as missionaries.  We were
humbled to see the full circle of God’s working.  We would
ask your prayers for this new leadership change.  Pastor
Christian will take over the helm on July 4.

Lord willing, in the next three months we will see two new
annexes started which after growing will be developed into
independent works.  We are trusting the Lord to raise up
the leaders necessary through our Bible Institute.

As we hear of and see the effects of the economic crisis
in America, I would like to ask you to please be faithful
in your mission’s giving.  Your support not only makes it
possible for our family to remain on the field, but your
giving helps to sustain many small works that are not
self-supporting yet.  We have three young families who are
pastoring churches and they are suffering economically.
That doesn’t mean they can’t take their yearly vacation.
That means they cannot provide the simple daily needs for
their families.  I am reminded of Elijah’s conversation
with the widow who was about to prepare her last meal.  He
asked for food and promised her that if she provided for
his needs then God would see to her needs.  Each of these
national pastors reaches dozens of families every week.
We need their help in reaching this country for Christ.

Praise the Lord for Marcela, a very timid lady in our
church, who led her first convert to the Lord this week.
What an amazing process..to see your disciple have their
own disciple.  Praise the Lord for Jonathan, Rut, Eler,
Berta, Roxana, Mariella, Maria and others who received
Christ this month.  They are all paired with another
believer that will walk through their discipleship
together.  Our goal is to see each of them baptized soon.

So much is happening in the harvest field of Peru.  We ask
your prayers for continued wisdom as we pursue our
five-year plan.  We’d like to see the Seminary,
Kindergarten and Christian School all started within the
next two years.  We would love the opportunity to show you
first-hand what God is doing and could do through you here
in Peru!    Thank you for loving, supporting and praying
for the Earnhart family, Calvary Baptist Church in Tacna
and Fundamental Baptist Church in Arequipa.

We have a TREMENDOUS group of supporting churches and
friends in the ministry!  Thank YOU for being one of them!
We hope to see many of you during our upcoming furlough.
We will mainly be focusing on the Midwest, however we are
planning one trip in December of 2010 or early 2011 to
California, Oregon and Washington, so please contact us if
you would like us to give a missions report in your
church.

Praise the Lord, we have found a van for our furlough.
Above the purchase price, it will also require $1,500 of
repairs and $350 to have it delivered from Indiana to
Atlanta.  We covet your prayers for our travels, that God
would keep His hand of protection on us.

Fellow laborer,
Jonathan
